Peter’s career has spanned over three decades holding various senior roles within the financial services and asset management industries. 

Prior to joining Audacy, Peter was Chief Financial and Operating Officer of 8F Asset Management, a global aquaculture impact fund manager. Prior to that, Peter was with KKR for nearly 12 years as the CFO of Europe and of Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for managing local corporate finance and fund operations teams’ activities. Prior to this, Peter was the Group Financial Controller of FTSE Group, and before that the Financial Controller and Vice President of Barclays’ Wealth and Private Banking division, managing a number of projects which he served through various locations including the US, Monaco, Singapore, Barbados, Cayman Islands and London. Peter is a qualified Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). 

Peter holds an Executive MBA from Oxford Brookes University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from Westminster University.

James works closely with the team in Hong Kong to carry out sourcing, due diligence and execution of potential investment opportunities.

 

Prior to joining Audacy Ventures, James began his venture capital career at AngelHub, Hong Kong's first licensed tech venture investment platform. While there he worked on over ten deals, including notable HK startups Animoca Brands and Avant Meats. He also played a key part in helping revamp AngelHub's platform.

 

James graduated from Durham University with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations. He is passionate about finding and working with companies building innovative technologies along various decarbonisation pathways, with a particular interest in the use of synthetic biology and other nature-based solutions.

David is an experienced venture investor and has been one of the earliest supporters for Audacy Ventures. Day-to-day, David manages a portfolio of real estate in Hong Kong and the UK. 

David has an extensive network of ultra high net worth individuals, business associations, and personal family office relationships, and has been instrumental in the expansion of Audacy's family office partnerships. 

Ben is a clean tech veteran and expert in energy transition markets in the US and Australasia where he has worked in a number of investor, developer, and owner/operator roles, including co-founding a grid information and control specialist, Edge Electrons.

Ben is currently Head of Assets and Operations at ProtonH2, which aims to produce the most cost-effective hydrogen in the market, leveraging legacy oil and gas infrastructure. He is also the Managing Director at H2 Genesis, a liquid hydrogen infrastructure and services company. He previously held leadership and expertise roles at Shift Energy (financier, developer and operator of solar power systems in Japan), Goldman Sachs (energy & power advisory), and CERA (natural gas and power markets).

Ben graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies and Natural Resource Economics. 

Philip is an impact investor with over 15 years of investment experience in private and public equities, with a particular interest in renewable energy, energy storage, synbio and agri-food technologies.

Philip is the Founding Director of Regenerative Solutions, an Audacy affiliate, partnering with Urchinomics to utilise its aquaculture technology to turn ecologically destructive sea urchins into premium seafood products year-round. Previously Philip was an equity research analyst at CLSA and UBS covering Shipping, Transportation and Infrastructure.

Philip is a CFA charter holder, and holds a Masters of Social Science in Global Political Economy and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Global Business and Finance.

Paul is currently CEO of ProtonH2, which aims to produce the most cost-effective hydrogen in the market, leveraging legacy oil and gas infrastructure. He previously was placed into Audacy portfolio company GenH2 (hydrogen liquefaction and storage) as their Chief Strategy Officer. 

Prior to this, Paul was an investment head at BNP Paribas Asset Management where he led a team of technical consultants, portfolio managers, and quantitative analysts responsible for business development, solution/product design and implementation of investment portfolios. Prior to this, Paul spent 15 years leading asset management companies in their global expansion including start-ups in Asia.

Paul has spent his career in the financial industry designing and leading corporate strategies, managing investment portfolios, and organising businesses to achieve the financial goals of the stakeholders. He has worked as an executive team member in asset management/banking/venture capital companies to optimise businesses in their respective local markets and internationally.  He has extensive experience in successfully leading technical teams from the development and innovation stage through to the commercialisation stage. Paul’s solid scientific background coupled with his years of experience in financial management and capital market strategy uniquely positions him to realise the goals of private companies in the energy transition and technology space.

As a veteran speaker, Paul has regularly featured on Bloomberg, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, Asian Investor, and other news media for his perspective on capital markets and thematic investing.

Paul graduated from the University of British Columbia with a specialisation in Theoretical Physics. Paul focused his research on the space-time dynamics around black holes, creating and analysing simulations of stellar evolution by solving Einstein’s equations using numerical techniques. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Leo has over 8 years of experience in renewable energy investments, climate tech venture investments, and sustainability advisory, having completed over US$700 million worth of transactions in these sectors across the US and APAC.

Prior to joining Audacy, Leo was an Investment Associate at Brawn Capital, an APAC-based renewable energy private equity fund manager with over US$400 million in AUM. Leo began his investment career in New York with Onyx Renewable Partners, a renewable energy development platform capitalised by Blackstone Group's energy and flagship funds to develop North American renewable energy projects. While there, he was responsible for executing tax equity and debt financing, as well as strategic acquisitions of energy transition opportunities in North America. 

Leo holds a Master's degree in Energy Policy and Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management and Technology from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is passionate about finding, funding and growing companies that create breakthrough solutions to the net-zero challenge.

Billy is a seasoned investor with 20 years of experience. He started investing through Audacy before joining the team full-time as Head of Investments. 

Prior to Audacy, Billy served as Investment Director for 8F Asset Management, a global aquaculture impact fund manager. Previously, he spent close to a decade with an infrastructure fund jointly sponsored by Bank of China International and Temasek, investing in growth renewable opportunities across China. He was previously with China Investment Corporation and Quantum Energy Partners, investing in private oil and gas opportunities in North America. Billy started his career with Lehman Brothers' oil and gas investment banking practice in both New York and Houston.

Billy holds a triple bachelor’s in Computer Science, Economics and Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a CFA charter holder and a Certified Sustainability Professional with the Global Reporting Initiative.

Tim brings multi-asset class investment management experience over a 16 year career managing more than US$ 1 billion in energy-related investments across venture capital, private equity, and infrastructure

He is currently the Head of Infrastructure Investments at LOGOS, where he looks at investable opportunities in energy transition related infrastructure that can help decarbonise LOGOS's US$23 billion portfolio of logistic real estate assets. Many of these opportunities will be created via technologies invested by Audacy ventures that require a different source of capital to scale.

Prior to his current roles, Tim was an Investment Director at Morrison & Co, a US$30 billion Infrastructure Asset Manager that invested and built numerous successful businesses in renewable energy, data centres, aged care facilities and airports. He also worked on numerous private equity transactions in renewable energy, waste-to-energy, and water solutions during his time with Olympus Capital Asia (Asia Environmental Partners I) and Macquarie Capital.

Tim graduated from the University of Melbourne with a combined degree in Commerce (Finance) and Law (LLB).

Frederik has 15 years of research, operational and investment experience in climate technologies across Asia, Europe and the US.

As the first employee at Brawn Capital, a private equity fund manager specialised in renewable energy with over US$400m AUM, Frederik was the the Director of Investments & Risk Management managing a portfolio of solar assets across Asia.

Frederik obtained a Ph.D. in Physics at the City University of Hong Kong, winning a scholarship to undertake research on new materials for third generation solar cells. He built and improved solar cell developing and testing laboratory facilities, collaborating with major international research facilities in Japan, Singapore, China, Israel and the US.

Li Hua Tan co-founded Audacy Ventures in 2017 to bring high impact, highly sustainable investments across multiple cutting-edge sectors to like-minded investors.  As a general partner of the firm, her vision is to build a talented team with deep vertical expertise in climate tech, and to partner with top-tier entrepreneurs in transforming their respective industries.  

Li brings 18 years of investment experience, starting her career as a Financial Analyst in the Consumer and Healthcare team at Citigroup in New York and Los Angeles. Li then moved back to Malaysia where she managed Asia Green Group's real estate corporation with gross development value of US$ 450 million. Li also managed her own family office assets, which included a diversified public equity portfolio as well as higher octane private investments in alternative assets across America, Europe, and Pan-Asia.

Li previously co-founded the Platinum Whisky Investment Fund in 2014.  At the time, it was the world’s first private equity fund investing in vintage and rare single malt whiskies. The fund raised US$ 12 million and exited 7 years later at over US$ 26 million, delivering a gross 17% IRR to investors. In 2019, the team continued its whisky ventures by acquiring Glenor Cask Company, which held a portfolio of over 1,000 whisky casks in Scotland. In 2021, she acquired significant stakes in the companies Whisky Hammer and Still Spirit in order to gain footholds in the whisky online auction and e-commerce space.  

Li graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Business Administration.  She is passionate about empowering other women in family business and entrepreneurship, and enjoys exploring other cultures through travel and reading.

Toby’s 20 year investment and corporate finance career has spanned infrastructure, energy, renewables, and climate tech. Toby began his career at Macquarie Capital, advising on transactions including toll roads, energy, utilities and public private partnerships in M&A and tender situations in APAC. Toby went on to become a founding team member of Kerogen Capital, a private equity fund manager specialising in international energy with over US$2 billion in AUM.

Toby has been a venture capitalist since 2011 and co-founded Audacy to pursue sustainable investment opportunities at scale, working with other like-minded investors to fill a financing gap and support companies working on decarbonisation technologies, on the cusp of commercialisation. 

Toby holds a combined degree from the University of New South Wales in Commerce (Finance) and Laws (LLB). He is passionate about finding solutions to combat climate change, and to educate investors that sustainable investments no longer represent charity, but are truly some of the most attractive opportunities in the current investment landscape.
