James forms a crucial part of the Investment team, carrying out sourcing, due diligence and execution of potential investment opportunities. James has over 3 years of work experience across venture capital investments, public equities, and startup operations.

Prior to joining Audacy in 2022, James began his venture capital career working at AngelHub, a Hong Kong-licensed tech investment platform with a broad focus across key sectors including ESG, Web3 and FinTech. While there he worked on over ten deals, including notable Hong Kong-based startups such as Animoca Brands and Avant Meats, and played a key role in helping revamp the AngelHub platform. He previously worked in the Global Client Development Team at HKEX, covering both buy and sell-side clients trading cash equities, futures, and option products. He also previously interned on the product management side for a tech startup, OpenSponsorship, a NY-headquartered company building the world's leading two-sided marketplace platform connecting athletes with brands to create marketing campaigns.

James graduated from Durham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, with a further background in Law and Finance.

He holds a particular passion for companies building innovative decarbonisation technologies via biochemical and synbio pathways.
